Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a gentle body-oriented trauma-informed approach to healing. It aims to bring the nervous system (and from an energetic point of view, the energetic system) back into balance, seeking the release of stored tension and frozen energy from the body to restore greater empowerment and well-being.

Your Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner will first focus on creating a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and heart-centered space to help you enter a relaxed state and feel at ease. You will then be encouraged to focus on the present and explore the inner experience arising in your body. As you develop this somatic awareness and stay in the present moment, you can learn how to regulate your nervous system, as well as better understand your responses to stress and trauma.

Somatic Experiencing® is a gentle approach that respects your pace and comfort level, empowering you to connect with your innate capacity for healing and resilience, and teaching you how to become more present, connected, grounded and embodied. The overall goal is to bring your nervous system back into balance, and to restore the feeling of safety, empowerment, aliveness and well-being in your life.

Somatic Experiencing® is a method that is particularly powerful when combined with the energetic balancing and clearing that Energy Healing offers. Clients often choose to participate in Somatic Experiencing® sessions in addition to regular Energy Healing sessions to deepen their personal transformation, embodiment and well-being. Somatic Experiencing® techniques can also be integrated in the Energy Healing sessions themselves, as a powerful way to help release what is stored in the body during the session.

A Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and graduate of Somatic Experiencing International‘s three-year training, Serge offers Somatic Experiencing® sessions worldwide through the phone, Zoom, WhatsApp, or in-person in Charlottesville, VA.

Enhancement of resilience and self-awareness: Somatic Experiencing® supports you in developing a greater sense of self-awareness and understanding of your own internal experiences. This can lead to a greater sense of resilience, as you become better able to recognize and manage your emotional and physical responses to stress.

A certified Brennan Healing Science® Practitioner, Serge trained for four years at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, from which he graduated in 2001. Developed by Dr. Barbara Brennan over 35 years, Brennan Healing Science® is a holistic healing modality based on the Human Energy-Consciousness System and its relationship to health and disease. The Barbara Brennan School of Healing was founded in 1982 by Dr. Brennan, former NASA physicist, and the best-selling author of Hands of Light, Light Emerging and Core Light Healing.

Somatic Experiencing® & Somatic Experiencing® International

A certified Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, Serge trained in trauma work for three years at the Somatic Experiencing® International institute, from which he graduated in 2023. Somatic Experiencing® is a naturalistic and neurobiological approach to healing trauma developed over the past 50 years by Dr. Peter A. Levine. Dr. Levine is the author of several best-selling books, including Waking the Tiger, Healing Trauma and In an Unspoken Voice, How the Body Releases Trauma and Restores Goodness.
